Great Stroke of Economy.

GREENSBURG, Ind., Sept. 5. - Residents of Decatur county are today discussing the great stroke fo economy on the part of the county council. To reduce the tax levy from 32 to 30 cents next year, the council decline to appropriate for clerk hire for the county superintendent and county assessor; reduced the county attorney's salary from $400 to $300l withdrew the appropriation for a pauper attorney; provided no funds for bridges and other improvements, and then as a final act, voted to donate their salaried to the county and to cut off a $100 fund to be used to pay the expenses of bridge inspection trips.
