Ex-Governor Cumback and Miss Wachtstetter married on Tuesday Morning.

At 11 o'clock a.m., Tuesday, July 9th, occurred the wedding of Ex-Lieut. Governor Cumback and Miss Laura Wachtstetter. It was  a private, informal affair and took place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. abd Mrs. C. Wachtstetter of this place, Rev. Millard Pell officiating.

The front parlor, where the ceremony was performed, was decorated with smilax and sweet peas. While the wedding march was played by Mrs. Cascadden, the party entered the room, the groom and the minister being followed by the bride, leaning on the arm of her father. Governor Cumback took his place directly in front of the north window, and there received his bride from her father.

The usual Methodist marriage ceremony was then read, the responses being given in clear, distinct tones. The bride was charmingly dressing in a beautiful trained costume of white silk, lace and ribbon, the groom wore the conventional black.

After Gov. and Mrs. Cumback had received the congratulation of their friends, the bride changed her wedding gown for her travelling costume and all sat down to an elaborate lunch in the dining room, which room was decorated with nasturtiums.

Immediately after lunch Gov. and Mrs. Cumback left in a carriage, amid a shower of rice, for Anderson, taking the 2:45 train for Greensburg, where Mr. Cumback has one of the prettiest homes in the southern part of the State.

Ex-Governor Cumback has won for a bride a most accomplished, talented and loveable lady. Miss Wachtstetter has been Supt. of the school at the Knightstown Soldiers' and Sailors' Orphans' Home for about twelve years where she is honored and loved by all. Her home has been in Lapel since childhood, where her friends are countless.

She is a lady of integrity and culture, as is evidenced by her retaining the positition she did for so long a time; she is also possessed of marked literary ability and will be of great assistance to Mr. Cumback in the literary work, to which he intends to devote the rest of his life.

Ex-Governor Cumback is one of Indiana's famous politicians, famed not only in his own state, but all over the United States; a man with not only a national, but an international reputation.
