ALERT CITIZEN PASSES AWAY

Joseph Talkington, 58, Leaves Six Sisters and One Brother – Funeral Sunday 10:30 a.m.

Joseph Talkington, 58, passed away at his home in Alert at 10 a.m. today after a short illness of complications believed to have been caused by a clot on the brain.

He is survived by one brother, Samuel Talkington, of Scipio, and five sisters:  Mrs. W.J. Cooper, of Waynesburg, Mrs. Ed Talkington, of Kirtz; Mary and Poebe, at home; Mrs. Lena Sharpe, Clifford.

The funeral will be held in the Alert Methodist church Sunday at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. J.C. Nicholson, of Westport , officiating.  Burial in Bearcreek cemetery.
