Zachary Snook Dies on Fifty-Fith Birthday.
Was Stricken With Heart Disease at 6 O'clock and Passed Away Soon After.
The death of Zachary Snook, 55 years, 206 East DeWald street, well-known contractor and a resident of Fort Wayne for the past fifteen years, occurred at 6:35 o'clock Sunday morning, following an attack of heart disease. Mr. Snook died on his birthday anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Snook returned from St. Petersburg, Fla., March 15, where they had been spending the winter the last five years. Mr. Snook was taken ill with pneumonia two weeks ago, but was no longer the care of a physician when he was stricken with heart disease.
The deceased formerly lived near Columbia City, the family coming to Fort Wayne fifteen years ago. He was born at Forest Hill, Decatur county, Indiana, on April 16, 1861. Surviving he leaves the widow, Mrs. Augusta Snook, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Falk, of Greensburg, Ind. The deceased was a member of the Columbia City lodge of Odd Fellows, Summit City lodge No. 170, F & A. M; Fort Wayne chapter No. 19, R.A.M. He was also a 32° Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner.
